Reiki & Sound: Why Depth Needs Space

Reiki and Sound session with participants resting

Autumn always brings a different kind of depth to the sessions, a slowing down that feels both grounding and emotional. This year, the Reiki & Sound collaborations reminded me how powerful it is to move gently into deeper work.

These sessions are not light. They ask for presence from everyone in the room, and especially from Kate and myself. They're longer, layered, and energetically intense in a way that calls for both preparation and recovery.

I realised something important:

Depth can't be rushed or repeated endlessly.
It needs space. It needs pacing. It needs intention.

This is why in 2026 I'm choosing fewer, more intentional Reiki & Sound offerings. Two a year maybe feels right. Not because of scarcity, but because of respect, for the work, for the people, and for the energy required to hold it well.

Quality over quantity.

Depth over repetition.

Always.
